2008 Car:

Whilst the University of Surrey has had a deep interest in the Formula Student competition it has only been in the last academic year that the Team progressed from year on year conceptual designs to a fully working vehicle. At the start of the 07/08 academic year a group of 30 students were tasked with designing a performance vehicle from scratch that satisfied the rules of the Formula Student competition. The team’s key goal was to investigate and develop the dynamics of the vehicle to a competitive level. Our first fully fabricated and functional prototype car designed by last year’s team came 2nd in Vehicle Design Class 2. The Faculty Advisor’s for last year’s team were Dr Aldo Sorniotti and Dr Eddie Moxey.
